Know Your Customer
Before transacting, BNM Petroleum collects and verifies counterparty information: legal entity details, registration, beneficial ownership where required, address, authorised signatories and banking details.
Purpose
KYC procedures are designed to prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and sanctions evasion, and to establish the legitimacy of the commercial relationship.
Information required
Typically: certificate of incorporation, trade licence or registry extract, authorised signatory identification, proof of address, bank details and, where relevant, trade references.
Ongoing monitoring
Counterparty relationships are subject to ongoing screening and transaction monitoring consistent with a risk-based approach.
